In Depth 200-Hour Teacher Training

- A 23-week program offered twice a year in January and August.

- - 50hours of Philosophy, Anatomy, Techniques
- (2.5 hours per week –all contact hours)
- - 50 hours Pranayama, Asana, Meditation Practices
- (2.5 hours per week-all contact hours)
- - 50 hour Asana Intensives
- (5 weekend Asana Intensives- 50 hours all contact)
- - 25 hours on internship
- (1 class per week w/a mentor teacher-contact hour)
- - Class outings (optional)
- (7 Days w/directors of teacher training-150 contact hours)
- ~25 hours Personal Studies
- (Reading, writing, outings, research – no contact hours)

- Tuition:
- $2,000 (Includes all Tuesday Meetings, Asana Intensives and Internship) A payment schedule will be supplied, outlining future payment dates; you may pay in full at any time check, Visa and MasterCard.

- A writing journal
- 2” 3 ringed binder with tabs and extra writing paper
- “Yoga Mind, Body & Spirit: A Return to Wholeness” by Donna Farhi
- This program is an in-depth training that includes a basic yoga teacher certification with the Yoga Alliance 200-hour level. The program is designed for yoga students of all levels and ages. My intention is to provide a sacred space for you to learn and grow in your practice and life via yoga. I aspire to assist you to develop your natural teaching abilities by opening your spiritual eyes.

- *Weekly meetings are held on Tuesday’s from 6:00pm-8:30pm. This meeting is a part of the curriculum and must be attended every week. Each meeting will include both lecture and application of anatomy and philosophy, methodology and practice, learning and experiencing yoga techniques, and yoga guidelines. Missing any meeting requires a 1 hour make-up to be scheduled with the instructor.

- *Weekly yoga practice is required throughout the program. I suggest you attend a minimum of 2 classes a week.

- *Asana Intensives are specially designed “yoga workshops”. These cover the physical aspect of yoga practice and teaching. You will learn and practice our eclectic blend of knowledge in: Yoga Practice Techniques, Applications, Methodology, Anatomy & Physiology, Sanskrit, Adjustments, Cuing, Benefits, and Partner work as well as preventing and healing injuries. There are five Asana Intensives on Saturday and Sunday for five hours each day. You must attend all Asana Intensives to receive certification. If you have to miss due to illness you must schedule a two-hour make-up with the instructor.

- *A minimum of twenty-five internship hours is a prerequisite to certification. You will be placed with a “mentor teacher” with a teaching style that can accommodate your schedule.

- *Personal studies assist in the integration and processing of the ideas, techniques and principles of the program. You are encouraged to engage in a minimum of three weekly personal study hours, homework, home yoga practice, journaling , outing and research.

- *Bring your binder to all weekly meetings, asana intensives. Your journal will keep track of you hours, practices, breakthroughs, and experiences. All the hours you put into the Training program will be counted.

- *For Certification: Obtain a minimum of 200 hours and complete the following:
- 1. Final practice teaching exam (in front of peers).
- 2. Complete and turn in all documentation.
- 3. Turn in your journal for review (it will be returned to you the same day).
- 4. Take all necessary exams
- 5. All payment must be received in full

- *This training is designed to give you a complete overview of Hatha Yoga and assist you in becoming the best instructor that you can be. My promise is to provide many opportunities for you to experience and indulge in knowledge and understanding that can be applied to your work in the world, and support you on your journey to becoming a competent yoga instructor.
